Late fall is a wonderful time to visit Yosemite. It was just days before Lower Pines
campground closed and there was almost no one in the campground.
From inside the coach we had a great view of the Merced River and Halfdome.
Although it rained early in our visit Yosemite Falls had almost no water.
The dark sky showed Half Dome under somewhat different lighting.
The areas that are usually full of cars and people were unoccupied; it was wonderfully quiet and peaceful.
We enjoyed sitting in the "great room" at the Ahwahnee while it was almost empty.
The first major rain brought down the leaves and Ed had to sweep several times.
On the right is the exit road tunnel. Can we get through? Perspective is very important.
