Utah, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado

- Coral Pink Sand Dunes UT State Park -

Near Kanab, this park has very colorful and impressive sand dunes
The fine sand quickly gets into your shoes

- Monument Valley -

Made famous by John Ford

Getting to Monument Valley was most exciting
We first encountered "this road not meant for RV's of your size" signs

Then we could see the dirt and gravel road with rock walls !
Yes, it dropped 1,100 feet and, in many places, was very narrow

- Mono Lake, California -

Tufa towers created by carbonated lake waters

- Kodachrome Basin, Utah State Park -

Towering monolithic spires or chimneys with weathered trees and people

An empty road runs through this virtually untouched region

- Lehman Caves in Great Basin National Park -

Lehman Caves (a single cavern despite the name) extends 1/4 miles into the limestone
and marble of the Snake Range in the northern portion of Great Basin National Park

(note that I resisted any comments about "old bats" that can, at times, be found in the cave)

- Utah's Colorado Riverway Recreation Area -

This area, near Moab and Arches National Park, has numerous fishing, camping, and hiking areas.

The 35 miles are very scenic, quiet, and well cared for.
