We had two excellent camping sites at the North Rim Campground

Our first site included views of the Canyon

The views from the Grand Canyon Lodge are breathtaking

Many of the trails have handrails; on the left is Bright Angel Trail and on the right is the Transept Trail

Large areas of trees top the Canyon except where fire has left its mark
A fire on Roosevelt Point burned 5000 acres in August of this year

Angels Window has a path on top - fortunately with a handrail

Point Imperial is the higest point on the Grand Canyon Rim

The views from our RV site in Zion National Park (Watchman) were outstanding

Court of the Patriarchs and the Riverside Walk

The hanging gardens were especially lush, as there was a rainstorm the day before
The Virgin River was at its low point in September

Zion Arch is near the road to the East entrance
East of the tunnel are many unusual sandstone formations

The Checkerboard is another unusual sandstone formation
The one mile long Zion tunnel has one-way traffic. There is usually a line wating to enter

(The lights are from an oncoming car, not "the light at the end of the tunnel")
