Montana and Wyoming
September 2000
( First Trip in Silver )
We began the trip by moving into Silver
( It is amazing how much 'stuff' goes into a second home )
At the first, and all subsequent stops, Drift gets brushed
Flaming Gorge
Many of the RV parks are lovely, such as this one at Coulter Bay
Some of the walks were exciting. Can you find Lynne here at Inspiration Point ?
Jackson Lake in Grand Teton NP
The three of us read about the view
Breathtaking views!
After a day of travel a little 'rest'
At times the weather turned chilly
Lake Jackson and Teton Falls
Lynne watches 'Star Wars' on the VCR before cooking dinner
Yellowstone Mud Volcanos and Geysers
Often in the Hayden Valley (Yellowstone) you see heards of bison grazing
Then again, they may be stopping traffic !
Other animals seen on the way - Mule Deer and Moose
-Antelope and more bison -
Yellowstone Geyser Basin
Emerald Pool
Yellowstone Lower Falls and 'Old Faithful' ( the relic in the background )
Mammoth Hot Springs - Minerva Terrace
The effects of the fires of 1988 can still be seen throughout Yellowstone
A lovely drive through Bridger Canyon, Montana
We stayed at the Great Falls, MN KOA - the first KOA in the nation
In Glacier National Park it was overcast and very windy
The lighting often produced dramatic views
BUT... at this location in Glacier we lost our digital camera due to heavy winds
As a result, we have no pictures of the remaining trip through Idaho,
Washington and
Oregon
