Hilton Head
( a family reunion - Spring, 2003 )

We stayed in more than 20 RV parks and they varied from the lush park in Indio, CA  (upper left) to a gravel parking lot in Benson, AZ (upper right) and from an open field in Ft. Stockton, TX  (lower left) to the formal tropical park in Destin, FL (lower right)

As we drove east we had several days of bad weather, including heavy rains in Arizona and gale force winds in New Mexico.

In San Antonio we spent an afternoon visiting the Alamo and strolling along the River Walk.

We spent two days enjoying the beach in Destin, FL and by the time we arrived in Georgia we had added 6 states to our "travels map".

When we arrived in Hilton Head Bert showed off his Miata and Patti and Bert joined us for dinner in the coach.

We spent a day in Savannah, walking in the historic district and enjoying the beautiful azaleas.

And we had many enjoyable walks on the beach, which was almost deserted.

One of the places we stayed on our return trip was a brand new park that was totally empty.

How's this for a welcome!  This was in Branson, MO (which, by the way, is a very unusual town.)

Washing the windshield is a daily task when you are on the road in the spring.  Just look at all the bugs on the unwashed side!
