We are off to the Borrego Desert (Just above Mexico) to see the wild flowers.
Unfortunately, all the rain had fallen on us in northern CA; there were very few flowers!

We did find Ocotillo (first picture), Chuparosa, and of course, the always present California poppies

More flowers ( to match Lynne's shirt ) were seen, in the North, during the trip.

Getting there was more than half the fun. For example,
here is the great site we used for a few days at Pismo Beach.

At each location, even in the desert, we set up our satellite receiver.

Some locations were less splashy. Here is a typical KOA at Bakersfield, California.

We returned home to find the flowers just beginning to bloom and
due to the rain the grass in the back yard was already knee high.
